Democrats in NC General Assembly Appoint Sen. Batch, Rep. Reives to Leadership Roles
The Senate elected Sen. Sydney Batch, who represents the 17th Senate district in Wake County. House Democrats voted to reelect Rep. Robert Reives of the 54th House District to lead in their chamber. Reives has led the House Democrats since 2021 and has been a part of the House since 2014.
