US Senate Candidate Don Brown Endorsed By MAGA Election Denier Sidney Powell

As the primary for US Senate heats up, Republican candidate Don Brown has gained the attention of MAGA extremists from North Carolina and beyond, including President Trump’s ex-lawyer Sidney Powell.

Powell is best known for leading the effort to overturn the 2020 election and pled guilty to six misdemeanours in 2023. Powell recently received a presidential pardon for her crimes. In a video announcing the endorsement, Powell encouraged her fellow Republicans to give Brown their “full support.”

Powell’s endorsement should come as no surprise for anyone following Brown’s campaign. Brown has repeatedly touted his experience defending people who were charged with crimes related to the Jan 6th insurrection. His campaign website boasted that he stood up for “January 6th patriots who are targeted by politically motivated prosecutions.”

Dubbed a “soldier for the MAGA cause” by the conservative Daily Haymaker, Brown has also been endorsed by General Mike Flynn, Lieutenant Colonel Allen West, and Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin.

Brown is currently in a three way primary for the Republican nomination for US Senate and will face former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Whatley and Smithfield educator Elizabeth Temple.
