Desmitificando el Rumor: La Asistencia de FEMA va Más Allá de los $750

Un rumor ha circulado que la Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (FEMA) solo proporcionará $750 a los sobrevivientes de Helene para apoyar su recuperación. Sin embargo, esto es falso. La asistencia que podrías recibir después de presentar tu solicitud se llama Asistencia para Necesidades Serias. 

Los $750 son un pago inicial y flexible que te ayuda a cubrir artículos esenciales como: alimentos, agua, fórmula para bebés, suministros para la lactancia, medicamentos y otros suministros de emergencia. 

Además, hay otras formas de asistencia a las que podrías calificar, y la Asistencia para Necesidades Serias es solo un pago inicial que puedes recibir mientras la FEMA evalúa tu elegibilidad para fondos adicionales. 

A medida que se revisa tu solicitud, aún podrías recibir ayuda adicional para otras necesidades, como apoyo para vivienda temporal, propiedad personal y costos de reparación del hogar.
