Gov. Cooper Proclaims Nc As ‘the Center Of The College Basketball Universe’ Ahead Of Saturday’s Final Four Matchup

Unless you have been under a rock this week, you’ve probably heard there’s a pretty big game going on this weekend with North Carolina ties. Duke and North Carolina will meet in the NCAA tournament for the first time in their storied rivalry but this ain’t no ordinary game. These two teams will play against each other in the Final Four with the winner moving on to play for a national championship.

Arguably one of the biggest rivalries in sports, these two teams don’t need much motivation or hype to play each other. The game is so big that Dreamville Festival posted on Twitter that they would be showing the game on a giant screen. Add that to the fact this is Coach K’s last ride as Duke head coach and this is UNC coach Hubert Davis’s first season and you have the perfect storm for what should be a game for the ages.

Governor Roy Cooper added a little fire to the flame by proclaiming North Carolina as ‘the center of the college basketball universe’ just in time for Saturday. It’s safe to say that all North Carolinians stand by this proclamation. Governor Cooper is expected to attend the big match-up in New Orleans.
