Michele Morrow Again Under Scrutiny for Past Social Media Posts on Transgender Kids, QAnon Conspiracies and More

Republican candidate for state superintendent Michele Morrow describes herself as a “lifelong Christian conservative,” yet it seems like every day there’s a new, very un-Christian discovery made about her past.

Morrow is no stranger to residents in Wake County since she ran for school board there in 2022 (and lost badly), but she’s now been discovered by the rest of the state and the national media – and that’s bad news for her because she has a cemetery’s worth of skeletons in her closet.

The Hill and CNN reported on several comments Morrow made in the past where she called for violence against former President Barack Obama and other Democrats.

“I prefer a Pay Per View of him in front of the firing squad,” Morrow said of Obama in a May 13, 2020, post on Twitter. “I do not want to waste another dime on supporting his life. We could make some money back from televising his death.”

Other media outlets have reported on Morrow’s use of QAnon-linked hashtags like #WWG1WGA, which stands for “Where we go one, we go all,” and “#SaveTheChildren.” Morrow has also made references to conspiracies about adrenochrome, election fraud and vaccines that are often promoted by QAnon.

One of the best places to find Morrow’s social media posts is a website created by an anonymous parent called “Michele Morrow for NC Superintendent of Education?” The site is full of screenshots of her social media posts.

Michele Morrow was at the Capitol on Jan 6 at the direction of former President Trump. She believes public education is ‘socialist’ and calls teachers ‘groomers.’ She believes that children in special education ‘can’t compete with able-bodied students’ and should ‘just focus on learning life skills.’  She refers to people with cognitive disabilities or delays as ‘retarted.’ She believes that public schools need to be run on ‘Biblical principles,’” the website states.

“Our public educational system is a powerful, tax payer-funded arm of the Democratic Socialist Party. They have been indoctrinating our kids against God and America for decades!” Morrow posted on Twitter in 2020. The post has since been deleted.

Morrow has also said “the U.S. Public School system is a tax-payer funded socialism indoctrination machine,” said during her campaign that she will “eliminate progressive indoctrination in schools,” accused the state’s public schools of “teaching children to hate our country,” training children in “transgender theory,” and said that schools “are pushing a godless agenda.”

Some of Morrow’s other views include her concerns about a Satanic agenda and her belief that transgender people and Islam are part of larger conspiracies.

In 2019, Morrow claimed a woman was “Being manipulated and used by [Satan], along with all of the liberal lunatics who are demanding the murder of children, praising the psychological disorder of gender confusion, promoting pediphelia (sic) and spewing hate! Satan is real.”

In 2020, Morrow called Islam a cult, saying, “Islam is not a religion, it is a political cult. … Ban Islam. Ban Muslims from elected offices.”

While speaking out against puberty blockers and other gender-affirming health care for minors in North Carolina, she claimed that “Big Pharma” is behind the existence of transgender people in a conspiracy to “make our children unable to reproduce.”

“The medical community is being lured into these practices through political threats and promises of huge cash payouts,” she said. “This is a disgusting plan of Big Pharma to make our children unable to reproduce and permanent patients, dependent on pharmaceuticals for their entire lives.”

It has become very clear, very quickly just how unqualified Morrow is to be running the state’s public schools or to be in any position of power. She’s become so toxic that the North Carolina Republican Party, who have embraced Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson and his hatred of the LGBTQ+ community and just about everyone else, is now too afraid to say whether they support Morrow

Morrow has gone back through her Twitter account and deleted most of her controversial posts, but the internet is forever and it never forgets. She can delete her tweets, but she can’t delete the screenshots. She is going to have a rough time from now until Election Day having to defend herself against the facts, even when she claims the media is attacking her for reporting those facts.

Trump administration’s move to shut down USAID will have major economic impacts on North Carolina

The move will impact more than just the 10,000 workers the agency employs and the humanitarian work it does overseas. North Carolina is the fourth-largest recipient of USAID funding in the United States, with state-based organizations receiving nearly $1 billion a year. That funding helps bolster a robust global health sector that adds $31.9 billion every year to North Carolina’s economy and employs 120,000 people.

To have their voices heard, thousands gather throughout NC to protest Trump, Musk, and Tillis

Earlier this month, thousands of demonstrators gathered at the North Carolina State Capitol in Raleigh to protest President Donald Trump. The protest was part of a larger event “50 states 50 protest 1 day” (50501) to oppose the president’s actions taken in the first month of his second term including a slew of executive orders that have caused chaos and confusion for the people of this country and the federal agencies that support them.

NC Republicans Push to Strip Power from Democratic Leaders—Again

This time, the NC GOP is targeting Attorney General Jeff Jackson, who has recently defended the state from the White House’s federal funding freeze, Elon Musk’s national data breach, and Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship.

Senate Bill 58, proposed earlier this month, would prohibit the attorney general from making any legal argument that would invalidate an executive order issued by Trump.
