Looking for something fun to do this summer? We’ve got you covered! In addition to Pride and Juneteenth festivals statewide, there are tons of events to attend, from a Hurricanes parade to music festivals to a celebration of America’s 250th birthday!
The Carolina Hurricanes have taken the state by storm as they bring home the Stanley Cup for the first time in twenty years. North Carolina Governor Josh Stein and Raleigh Mayor Janet Cowell announced there will be a parade in downtown Raleigh on Saturday, June 20th to celebrate the championship win. The parade will begin at 11am. The morning after the game, Governor Stein jokingly posted an excused absence letter for North Carolinians who, like his family, stayed up late celebrating the win.
