The N.C. State Wolfpack owns the college basketball world right now. The men’s and women’s teams came into their respective NCAA Basketball Tournaments and put the college basketball community on notice. Both teams will play in the Final Four with a chance of being crowned 2023-2024 national champion.
The state of North Carolina has a total of six (Duke, UNC, N.C. State) men’s and women’s teams vying for a chance to be national champions in their respective sports.

Raleigh will be home to the largest indoor pickleball and golf facility in North Carolina. The 71,000-square-foot facility will be located near downtown.
One of the fastest growing women’s sports in the country has finally been classified as a sport in North Carolina. Womens high school wrestling is now in 41 states with nearly 50,000 student-athletes participating, that is a 880% rise in participation since 2005. The North Carolina High School Athletic Association sanctioned the sport in April 2022.
As the 2023 college football season enters the home stretch here in North Carolina, there are two events that everyone looks forward to around here. One of those events is homecoming and the other event is playing your biggest rival. Nothing is greater than great weather to flashback to memories while on campus and seeing old friends. On the other hand, having bragging rights over friends that attended your rival school is also rewarding.
The 2023 college football season is coming down to its final weeks. Many teams are still in the hunt for a college football playoff spot. Many of our local teams are looking to get their sixth win to become bowl eligible. Duke and UNC have qualified with six wins while NC State, Wake Forest and App State are on the brink of qualifying. Our friends at ECU and Charlotte are not having the seasons they imagined.

UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan Stadium has hosted some great football matches over the 95 years of its existence, but the stadium will be hosting another type of football in July when historic soccer clubs Chelsea and Wrexham face off in a friendly preseason matchup.
