Juneteenth was Friday, June 19th, and many exciting events were held across North Carolina. For this holiday, we commemorate the liberation of Black people from the institution of slavery. Moreover, we celebrate the sacrifices, resilience, and culture of the Black community. Communities celebrated with great music, food, and community at these events across our state:
